Atlas Arcana

WARNING: This is an initial prototype with limited functionality. Performance has not yet been optimized. Please be patient while the map generates. You may need to wait through some "Page Unresponsive" errors.
Atlas Arcana is a terrain-based 2D procedural map generator built in Godot. Each map is unique, with polygonal regions rich with mountains, forests, prairies, swamps, jungles, and deserts.
::: HOW TO USE :::
In this early initial prototype, functionality is limited, as the core variables are currently only accessible in script. You can reload the page to generate a new map. There's a lot more functionality available behind the scenes that I look forward to surfacing in the near future.
::: ROADMAP :::
Up Next:
- v 0.2: My top priority is to add an interface layer, exposing some basic parameters and allowing new maps to be generated without having to rerun the application.
Other Priority Features:
- Export functionality, outputting the map details (including polygon shapes) into a usable format (e.g. JSON, XML).
- Presets for different map types (e.g. land, coast).
- Support for square and hexagonal grids (in addition to the current Voronoi polygons).
- Manual random seeds to support reproducible maps.
- Camera controls
